Chemical Name: Methyl Hexahydrophthalic Anhydride, also known as Methyl Hexahydro-o-phthalic Anhydride
Molecular Formula:C9H12O3
Structural Formula:
Molecular Weight:168.19
CAS No: 25550-51-0
Performance Characteristics:
Methyl Hexahydrophthalic Anhydride is refined through catalytic hydrogenation of Methyl Tetrahydrophthalic Anhydride. It is a high-performance product among anhydride curing agents, possessing all the general characteristics of Methyl Tetrahydrophthalic Anhydride: high purity, light color, low viscosity, low volatility, low toxicity, minimal heating loss, stable performance, long shelf life, low freezing point, and the ability to be stored long-term at room temperature. Furthermore, it exhibits superior properties compared to Methyl Tetrahydrophthalic Anhydride: it is colorless and transparent, and with the addition of an accelerator, the color remains almost unchanged except for the color of the accelerator itself, with the epoxy cured product appearing white. It also has excellent heat resistance, especially at 150°C, where the epoxy cured product shows outstanding mechanical and electrical properties, as well as excellent weather resistance unaffected by light and heat, and good moisture resistance. Additionally, it has high reactivity, enabling fast curing and a short gelation time.
